	Commenced veena training at age seventeen, in June 1984, under tutelage of Kamala Viswanathan, in Chennai, India Came under tutelage of Jayalakshmi Subramaniam, veena tutor, in January 1999 at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society Awarded the Diploma in Music (Veena), and Best student award in the year 2000, at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society Currently learning from Sri R Parthasarathy, since Jan 2003 Formed SIFAS octet, orchestra of eight members of SIFAS Has won top solo and ensemble prizes in National Indian music competition Has performed extensively in Singapore as a soloist and orchestra member Also a classical singer and painter last updated:April 2003
