- started his training in the arts under the tutelage
of Shrikantham Sisters of Sri Lanka in Bharatha Natyam in the Vazhuvoor
School of Bhartha Natyam, and Smt Brindha Jegennathan on the Veena.
- furthered his training under Smt Kalpagam Swaminthan
on the veena in Chennai, South India.
- in 1984 performed his Arangetram in Bharatha Natyam.
- awarded titles of "Nritiya Vaarithi" by
Padmashri Vazhuvoor Ramaiya Pillai,"Vainika Visharadha"
by the Apsaras Arts of Singapore
- in 1999, received "Young Artist Award for Music"
awarded by the National Arts Council of Singapore
- has been closely associated with Apsara's Arts and
has composed numerous dance items and dance dramas including Aarupadai;
has also performed as a veena artiste and nattuvanar for several performances
of Apsara's Arts around the world, and notably several times in Australia
- .his composition "Krunthogai" was presented
by the Sydney Opera House at its first Indian Festival in 2001.
- organized Singapore's first and only Indian Youth
Orchestra formed by the Kolam Ayer Community Club and is their conductor
and composer

the position of Senior Vice President, heading the Technology Research
